The Orlando Magic are coming off an impressive win against the Boston Celtics yesterday and fly into Detroit on no days rest to face the resurgent Piston's. Orlando has shown the ability to cover the spread on no days rest sporting an 8-3 ATS record in those situations. However the Pistons seem to have this teams number going 7-3 straight up and 6-4 ATS in the last 10 meetings. I think Orlando is in a tough spot tonight even with their impressive road numbers, And I also feel that the Piston's will come out fired up after losing on Saturday to the Hawks in a game they know they should have won. One thing to remember is that Orlando is in a better situation as far as playoff seeding is concerned. On the other hand the Piston's are trying to climb up the playoff standings so every game is vitally important to them. I would look for Detroit to string together a few wins in a row and make a run for a higher seed in the eastern conference playoff picture, starting with tonight.

L.A. Lakers(-3) at Portland(+3)

The L.A. Lakers have had a very hard time winning in Portland the last few years. As a matter of fact the Lakers have lost their last 3 games played in Portland and are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games versus the Trailblazers. The Lakers have struggled on the road of late and seem to play down to their competition, if they do that against this very good Blazers team they could find themselves in for a long night. Portland has played well, they are 7-3 in their last 10 games and have an impressive 26-5 home record this year. Their defense has been very good as they have a 94.0 points per game average in their last 5 games. The public is hammering the Lakers, so i will do what i do best and fade away.
