Spread Picks February 28, 2009

Sorry about changing the name of my blog but i wanted to try something different as far as search engine optimization is concerned. Hopefully a few more sports fanatics can find their way to my blog via the search engines. Anyway yesterday was a bit of a let down as the Knicks invented another way to lose a game. But i do like what Larry Hughes brings to the table now that he's getting his legs underneath him. A lot of fans have bashed him since his arrival but what most people should realize is that he has not played for sometime and it's going to take a few games to get back to form. The Bulls(his former team) basically benched him, so he saw little to no action before the trade took place. Anyway tonight there are a full list of games i want to go through so i will be back later on with my picks.

NBA
7:05 pm(est)
Orlando(-2) at Philadelphia(+2)

The Orlando Magic have a habit of coming out strong after a loss and very rarely lose 2 in a row. After being embarrassed at home last night by the Pistons, i believe the Magic take it to the sixers tonight in Philadelphia. The Magic this year are 19-3-1 ATS on the road and 7-3 ATS in the 2nd game of a back to back which is the case tonight. The Magic have already won the first 2 meetings between these 2 teams this year and have beat them 5 out of the last 7 contest.

Betting on: Orlando(-2)(-105)(5.25 units)

Final Score:
Orlando 106(win)(+5.00 units)
Philadelphia 100

NBA
10:35 pm(est)
Charlotte(-1) at L.A. Clippers(+1)

The Clippers have improved a bit and i expect them to give Charlotte a good game tonight. L.A. is coming off a road loss to Sacramento last night so I'm sure they will be ready to go tonight and try and get some revenge on a Bobcats team who beat them back on Feb 9th in Charlotte. The Bobcats are coming off a road win yesterday against Golden State and have put together a modest 2 game winning streak. But these are the Charlotte Bobcats and their 8-20 road record will eventually come back to bite them. With or without Marcus Camby tonight i still think the Clippers have too much offensive talent for Charlotte to keep up with.

Betting on: Los Angeles(+1)(-110)(2.20 units)

Final Score:
Charlotte 100
L.A. Clippers 95(lost)(-2.20 units)
