spread picks

February 23, 2009

Hello again my friends, well after a long break i finally decided to get back to posting some action. It seems i have dug myself a nice little hole betting on the NHL for the last few weeks, so its time to go and try my luck on the NBA. I have had better success in years past betting on pro basketball so I'm hoping this will get me going up until baseball starts and then I'm going to have some real fun(I can't wait). So today i will start by saying i got a couple hundred units to play with so it gives me a little breathing room while i try to get back to the plus side of things. Their are 2 games I'm looking at and I may also add a late game but i will let everyone know a half hour before game time.

NBA
7:35 pm(est)
Indiana(+6.5) at New York(-6.5)

First I really like what my beloved New york Knicks have done by acquiring shooting guard Larry Hughes and center Chris Wilcox to help the team make a late playoff push for the eight seed in the eastern conference. And as for today i believe they will be too much for the Indiana pacers who have not played too bad themselves in their last 10 games. But with the new players in the lineup and the Madison square garden crowd roaring, it will prove to be too much for the visitors tonight.

Betting on: New York(-6.5)(-110)(22.0 units)

Final Score:
Indiana 119
New York 123 (lost)

NBA
9:05 pm(est)
Boston(-2) at Denver(+2)

The Denver Nuggets play no defense whatsoever, they were torched by Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva for 36 points yesterday and he's not really considered an offense threat. The Celtics without Kevin Garnett has proved to be a non issue, the Celtics manhandled the Phoenix Suns yesterday without him. I also read somewhere that the Celtics have a winning record without Garnett in their lineup so i don't expect this team to slow down anytime soon.

Betting on: Boston(-2)(-110)(22.0 units)

Final Score:
Boston 114 (win)
Denver 76

NBA
10:35 pm(est)
Golden state(-3.5) at L.A. Clippers(+3.5)

I'm adding the Warriors for the last play of the night, they come into this game winning 6 of their last 10 games and 4-1 ATS against the Clippers in their last 5 games head to head. The Clippers have been a mess this season and i can't see them putting up much of a fight against a more talented Warriors team.

Betting on: Golden St ML(-150)(37.50 units)

Final Score:
Golden State 105(lost)
L.A. Clippers 118
