Welcome to Sports Betting Daily, this blog was made to show the readers what life of a sports bettor is like. I keep track of my weekly record so my viewer can get a sense of what is going on from one day to the next. I also keep track of my overall record so that my readers know what i have done since the blogs inception. The spread betting information that is given is as accurate as i can find across the net, such as teams injuries and sport betting lines. Updates are made on a regular basis according to the game time, so this information will always be posted followed by my picks for the day, i will try to update at least a half hour before game time. Their are 3 ways to bet on a game so i will cover them here:
Spread Betting: The term used when picking a team with a point spread, an example would be in football where New England Patriots at(-7). This means that if the patriots win by 8 or more points you win your bet, if they win by exactly 7 points then it is considered a push and all money is returned. And of course if they win by only 6 or less than you lose because they failed to cover the number. The opposite is true of the underdog at(+7), all this means is that if your team loses by 6 or less you win, and by the same token if they lose by exactly 7 then it is a push and if your team loses by 8 or more you lose the bet. Leagues that use the spread betting lines include, the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB.
Moneyline Betting: The term used when betting on just the side and no spread is given. This is usually the way to go if you can find value in a team at a reasonable price. For example, the New Jersey Devils at(-140), all this means is that in order to win ($1.00) you must wager ($1.40). So you can see if a team has a price of (-200) it rarely worth the bet(wager 2 dollars to win 1 dollar). On the other hand a team with a price of (+140) is much more appealing because for every ($1.00) bet you have a chance to win ($1.40). The draw back to this is that these teams usually lose so you must pick your spots when betting underdogs on the Moneyline. Moneylines are used in NBA, MLB, NHL, and the NFL.
Totals Betting: Totals betting or "the over/under" is a term used for betting on a set amount of points combined between 2 teams. For example in hockey a total maybe set at 5, which means that you can bet on either the under or over of that game. If you bet on the under 5, then both teams combined must not score more than 4 goals for a win. If both teams combined score 5 exactly this is considered a push and if they score more than 5 you lose. And betting the over is the exact opposite, in which both teams combined must score 6 goals for you to win, or at least score 5 goals to get your money back, anything less than that and you lose. Totals are offered on all sports NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL.

Philadelphia(-160) at Tampa Bay(+150)
Betting Information:
The Tampa Bay lightning have returned home after a long west coast road trip which saw them getting blown out by San Jose 2 nights ago to complete the trip. Looking back on this team they usually follow a rough loss like that with a straight up win or another loss by only one goal. So in other words this team gets ticked off when they get their rears handed to them. This is good news for bettors, in that who would want to lay their cash down on a team that is going to come out flat after a horrific loss. The current Moneyline is at (+150) for the lightning, so at those odds how can i pass up the value. It also helps that the Flyers are 3-9 in their last 12 meetings in Tampa bay.
